Dan's first public appearance was as a session musician for El'Ahrai Stanek's second album, entitled Amanda Blythe Waszak. For the Cassette Single, Dan played bass on Shop at K-Mart and "belched on cue" for Suckerpunch. Released in early 1994, dozens of copies were made.
